Enrollment and Registration Requirements:
A student who is
entering the Russell County School System for the first time must be
registered at the school in his/her attendance zone one week prior
to the opening of school. In the event school has begun,
parents/guardians should report with the student to the principal’s
office at the school in his/her zone. Documents needed for official
registration include the following:

Student’s Certified Birth Certificate

Student’s Social Security
Card
-
Blue Alabama Immunization Form (Can be
obtained from the Health Department)

Two proofs of residence (utility bill,
rent receipt)
-
Picture ID for parent or guardian
-
Guardianship paperwork for legal
guardian (s)

Withdrawal paperwork from previous
school (except first time registration in Kindergarten)
AGE REQUIREMENTS
Children entering KINDERGARTEN must be
FIVE YEARS OLD ON OR BEFORE SEPTEMBER 2.
Children entering FIRST GRADE must be SIX
YEARS OLD ON OR BEFORE SEPTEMBER 2.
