Donations from Wish List
By Kai Lawrence

On Friday, January 11, 2008,
Russell County High School Principal, Dolores McTier,
Special Needs Teacher, Kai Lawrence, and Special Needs
Department Chair, Francine Edmond, received many needed
items from a wish list that included crates, copier
paper, wipes, Lysol, calculators, CD player, cassette
recorder, DVD movies, educational toys and books,
reversible fun mats, and a gift card from Mr. Jeff
Gibson and Cedric Darty of Omega PSi Phi Fraternity.
Mr. Gibson, founder of the James D. Woods Special Needs
Program, had a strong desire to help the Special Needs
Department at Russell County High School. “It was like
Christmas in January, and we are elated to see all the
needed items on the wish list,” stated Ms. Edmond.
“Having a sponsor is a great asset to our program, and
we are appreciative and thankful for Mr. Gibson,”
exclaimed Ms. Lawrence.
