RCHS Seniors Show They Care:
"County Cares", a student volunteer organization, recently collected 156
coats in the 2nd Annual County Cares Coat Drive. Students and faculty
both helped tremendously to make the drive a success. The Adults on
Mission group from Hatchechubbee Baptist Church helped the students out
by collecting 50 of the coats. The items were then delivered to the
Lazarus Society in Phenix City, Alabama. This organization will make
sure the coats are given to the needy in Russell County. "It gives you a
good feeling to know that on a cold night someone might be a little
warmer because of our effort", said Senior Ryne McIntosh, who helped
with the coat drive. Angela Simpson, RCHS Senior, organized the drive.
