Monitoring and Feedback:
The implementation of the
Strategic Plan will be monitored in the following ways:
--Test data will be analyzed on a quarterly
basis to monitor instructional progress at all grade levels throughout
the district. Quarterly meetings will be held with school principals to
discuss data and expectations. Principals will then meet with teachers
through grade level meetings to discuss data and modify the
instructional program.
--Certified employees will be evaluated using
the PEPE system and classified employees will be evaluated using the
RCBOE evaluation instrument. PDPs will be required of all certified
employees to target areas of growth.
--School Management Observations
(walk-through) and informal classroom observations will be conducted on
an ongoing basis by central office and school based administrators.
--ALSDE Consolidated Monitoring documents will
be reviewed and updated annually.
Feedback regarding
progress of objectives met will be disseminated/communicated in the
following ways:
--Community meetings will be held annually to
report district progress, provide information to stakeholders, and
elicit feedback through survey forms.
--A district newsletter will be distributed
quarterly highlighting academic/extra-curricular achievements, promoting
awareness of upcoming events, and communicating the mission and goals of
the Russell County School District.
--A presentation will be made annually to the
Russell County Board of Education to inform stakeholders of the
accomplishments, progress, and revisions necessary to reach the goals
established in the 5-year strategic plan.
